Blitzalytics Analysis

Line San Francisco (-7) Over/Under 45 Against the Spread - Minnesota (10-7) San Francisco (9-7)

The Vikings are coming off a stunning upset of New Orleans in the Superdome. The balanced offense and attacking defense proved to be too much for the Saints. They are going to need all that and more against the Mike Shannahan led 49ers. Something else that the Vikings will need to account for is the defense which is in the top 10 in yards allowed and points allowed. Injuries will not be an issue in the game as the injury reports look clean.

The Degenerate Menace Says: Ok, so I did say in the Wild Card preview that Captain Kirk was not going to win against the Saints because he doesn’t win big games. My bad. I did say he was going to cover though. The Vikings are 7-2 against the spread in away games this year so that is going to be hard to look past. San Francisco does have the propensity to lay a stinker or two (see Washington and Atlanta) and they will probably be a bit nervous in this game as it will be the biggest game they have played in the Bay Area in a long time. I will call for another Vikings cover, although I wouldn’t be surprised if they win outright.

Predicted Score: San Francisco 23 - Minnesota 21
