Preview

This divisional rivalry is set up to be a very hard fought, extremely entertaining game on Monday night. The Chiefs come into this game undefeated while the Broncos come off their first loss of the season. Kansas City has arguably the hottest offense in football right now, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his plethora of weapons in the passing game. However, this will be his toughest task yet as this Broncos team has one of the best pass rushing groups in football, led by the always impressive Von Miller and rookie Bradley Chubb. It also doesn’t help Mahomes that Mile High Stadium is one of the toughest atmospheres in football. I look for this game to be a battle until the very end.

Players to watch

Obviously for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes will be the player to watch. The hottest quarterback in football will be facing off against a very scary Broncos pass rush. For the Broncos, Von Miller must find a way to get to the quarterback. On offense, Case Keenum has to find a way to keep up with Mahomes.

Keys to the game

Kansas City Chiefs

  • Get the ground game going

  • Protect Mahomes

  • Make them beat you on the ground

Denver Broncos

  • Attack the secondary

  • Eliminate big plays

Prediction

I believe that this one will be true shootout. The Broncos will be able to put some pressure on Mahomes that he hasn’t faced this season. However, I don’t think that their offense can keep up. I have this game being down to the wire and the Chiefs winning by a touchdown to remain undefeated.

Final Score: Chiefs 28, Broncos 21
