Strengths
Dameon Pierce can be explosive, agile and has good field vision. He can get to proper bad levels and has a strong leg drive to keep the drive going. Pierce has strong ball security as he only fumbled the ball two times throughout his college career. Pierce has excellent hands and is very flexible as well when reaching for balls. He is a solid route runner and has the ability to separate himself from defenders along with him having an impact in space as well. Pierce puts effort into making blocks and is willing to give the QB some extra time. He has a great pass blocking technique and he does a great job with his posture when making blocks. Pierce is a solid lead blocker and can block in space. He is extremely tough and plays with a motor every time he is on the field. Pierce has strong instincts and patience when finding holes to run through. He can be versatile as a blocker, pass catching back, and as a power 3rd down rusher.
Weaknessess
He is not the most elusive back and needs to be consistent with his contact balance as he can at times easily be tackled. Pierce needs to do a better job getting to the top end speed. Pierce needs to improve the way he cuts as he is not the most fluid with his hips. He needs to clean up his footwork as at times it can get sloppy. When Pierce blocks he needs to improve on his awareness and his quickness. However he really has one year where he has had great production. Durability could be a concern as he did have a concussion in 2019 and an undisclosed injury in 2021
