Well we are not done yet as in the past few days there have been a few trades done. One big trade involved DE/EDGE Robert Quinn. On a side note, Is this like the third time Quinn has been traded as it seems like every team he moves to (Excluding Chicago) he always gets traded. At this point when should we mark Philadelphia trading Quinn In the future? Yes the Philadelphia Eagles acquired Robert Quinn in a trade with the Chicago Bears and the details of the trade are down below.

Trade Details

Chicago Bears Acquire: 2023 4th Round Pick

Philadelphia Eagles Acquire: DE/EDGE Robert Quinn

Chicago Bears Side

Took them long enough. I predicted that the Bears would make this move when rumors came out about Quinn’s departure during final cut day. This was inevitable to happen as the Bears wanted to get out of every awful contract that former GM Ryan Pace signed too. Quinn played well last season, but he has not been great this season. Quinn’s contract is so bad, just look at the tweet down below.

Basically the Bears are paying Quinn not to play for their team, especially for the 2022 season. They do get a mid round pick that will help build this team for the future which is a postive.

Philadelphia Eagles Side

This is the type of trade a team makes that has the goal of a superbowl. Especially as the Eagles don’t really need a DE/EDGE rusher, but getting depth is not a bad idea. With a veteran like Quinn is a great player to have and he had 18.5 sacks last season. He still has plenty left in the tank and while he has not been performing well this season he should be a good addition as a rotational piece. His contract could be an issue in 2023 and 2024, for this season the Bears are paying for Quinn’s salary so it is likely he will be a rental for the season. For a mid round pick, Quinn is worth the price.

Grades for Robert Quinn trade

Chicago Bears: B+ Philadelphia Eagles: A

Win-win trade for both the Bears and Eagles. I have to give the higher grade to the Philadelphia Eagles. They are going all in this season as they are Superbowl contenders this year and are hands down the best team in the conference. The Bears win as well as they get out of an awful contract and even get draft capital. The only reason why there grade is lower is that they are paying a portion of his contract. Overall great move by Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman and Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles. Let's hope this trade works out for all parties including DE/EDGE Robert Quinn.
